I’m the founder of The BFF Club, and my mission is to build a close-knit community of like-minded animal lovers who share the same empathetic approach for pets. This journey started back when I worked in corporate management for nearly a decade — then made the drastic change to leave and work in pet care, specifically at doggie daycares. It’s there that led me to rethink how we care for our pets everywhere. I’ve gained extensive knowledge on dog behavior throughout my career as a pet care professional, and along the way I’ve realized how important it is to understand an animal’s feelings when caring for them — there’s not a one-size-fits-all approach. I call it the “follow the feelings” approach, and it’s a philosophy I’ve instilled in our club. Pets have always been a huge part of my life. As a kid, our place was like a zoo — dogs, cats, and even birds! We also fostered rescue dogs, and many of them found their forever homes right in our house. Now, as an adult, I’ve had two amazing dogs who make daily walks the best part of my day. When I meet your dog, you can trust that I’ll give them all the love and attention they deserve. After all, dogs truly are our best buddies!

I’m all about the animals we call our family! One of the most special four-legged companions I ever had was my own dog, who lived an incredible 18 years. That’s right — 18 years of absolute furry love and companionship. In his later years, I made sure he still enjoyed the great outdoors by getting him a dog stroller, so he could take in all the scents and sounds. He was the heart and soul of my home. My journey with dogs has led me to some fantastic experiences. I’ve spent years working in doggie daycares, which means I’ve seen it all when it comes to our four-legged friends — from understanding behavior to making sure they get the right nutrition and exercise. I’ve got a wealth of experience under my belt. A little about me beyond your pet care needs — my dad’s a published author, so you could say words and stories run in the family. You’ll find me engrossed in the world of play and book editing. There’s something magical about getting lost in a good book, and I’m always on the lookout for the next captivating story. I’m excited to bring my dog-loving expertise to The BFF Club and meet your adorable fur besties. Let’s go on some pawsome adventures together!

Hi, my name is Antonio. All my life I’ve grown up beside dogs, and caring for them has always felt like second nature to me. My family welcomed six dogs over the years — from tiny, spirited miniature poodles to big-hearted pit bulls and Rottweilers. Each one taught me something different about patience, trust, and the simple joy of companionship. Being around dogs from such a young age sparked my curiosity about their behavior and emotional needs. That curiosity has shaped how I approach every dog I meet — with respect, empathy, and a commitment to understanding what makes them feel safe and happy.
