You can book by calling, texting, or emailing us. Before any services start, we'll set up a Meet & Greet so we can get to know you and your BFF and go over any specific needs and instructions. Reach out and we'll get one on the calendar.
We affiliate with BFF Buddies throughout LA — from Woodland Hills to Studio City to Hollywood to Marina del Rey, and everything in between. Contact us with your zip and we'll pair you with the Buddy in your area.
Yes. We carry Pet Business Insurance through Pet Sitters Associates, so your BFF stays safe and secure while in our care.
Absolutely — we're happy to share references or testimonials on request. You can also read our Google Reviews.
Yes, we can administer medication to your dog as needed. Just share the specific instructions and medication details at your Meet & Greet and in your Time To Pet profile.
For same-day services like dog walking, we charge a same-business-day cancellation fee — if you cancel within the same business day as the service, the invoice is still due in full. For overnight services we ask for 3 days' notice; cancellations inside that window are charged the full invoice. We know emergencies happen, but we set aside that time and those resources for your pet. We also reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings at any time. Thanks for understanding!
A few common reasons: a busy or long work schedule, limited mobility from an injury or illness, travel when your dog can't come along, a high-energy dog that needs to burn off steam, or a dog who gets bored or lonely during the day. And even if none of those fit, a regular walk is still a great addition to your dog's life.
Up to three at a time. That lets us give each dog real individual attention while still offering the socialization and exercise of walking together. The exact number can vary with each dog's needs and behavior — safety and well-being always come first.
Safety is our top priority. When needed we use a double-hook leash so a dog can't slip out of a collar or leash, we avoid busy streets and intersections, and we steer clear of potential hazards. Every BFF Buddy is trained to spot and handle any sign of distress or discomfort and act on it.
A walk is best for dogs who need exercise and stimulation. A drop-in is better for a quick potty break, a meal, or some company — great for puppies, seniors, or dogs with medical needs. It comes down to your dog's needs and your schedule.
It depends on age, temperament, and your dog. Most adult dogs can hold their bladder 8–10 hours, but we don't recommend that regularly. Puppies and seniors need more frequent breaks, and high-energy dogs need more exercise. As a rule of thumb, a drop-in or walk every 4–6 hours keeps your dog comfortable. When in doubt, check with your vet.
Absolutely. We can schedule walks or drop-ins before, midday, or after daycare so your pup gets the attention and exercise they need all day. Share their daycare schedule and we'll build a plan around it.
Both can work — it depends on your dog. Walking offers one-on-one attention and controlled interactions, which suits shy or anxious dogs. Daycare offers more play with other dogs, which suits high-energy social pups (when the facility trains its staff well). Walks also give mental stimulation daycare often doesn't. Need a daycare recommendation? We're happy to share one.
A drop-in is when a BFF Buddy visits your home to check on and care for your pet while you're away — feeding, fresh water, medication, potty breaks, and plenty of love and attention.
Your Buddy provides food and fresh water, administers medication if needed, and takes your pet out for potty breaks — plus play time and lots of attention.
Drop-ins work for a wide range of pets — cats, dogs, birds, fish, and small animals like rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs.
Overnight Watchdog covers dinner through breakfast. It's perfect for dogs who are fine alone during the day but love nighttime companionship.
Boarding is when your dog stays at your BFF Buddy's home. In-home pet sitting is when your Buddy stays at your home.
Boarding suits adaptable dogs with minimal anxiety. In-home sitting suits dogs with any anxiety or those who thrive on routine — you give us your dog's day-in-the-life and we'll recreate it while you're away.
Traditional daycares can be stressful, especially when crowded. Dogs need plenty of sleep, and private daysitting lets them rest and play in a calmer environment. With fewer dogs around, the risk of accidents or conflicts drops significantly.
Daily photos and communication, a nightly overview report, and a whole lot of love for your pet while you're away.
We transport dogs and cats of all sizes and breeds. We're not able to transport other small or exotic animals at this time.
Dogs are secured with a dog seat-belt harness, and cats travel in the cat carrier we provide.

Whatever resonates with you — Best Furry Friend, Best Friend Forever, your call. The name comes from our founder, Rachel, and her first dog, Billy. She went to the West LA shelter to meet a different dog from a photo, but the moment she met Billy in person the connection was instant — a dog whose photo hadn't done him justice. That inspired “Billy's Friend,” where she photographed shelter dogs and shared them with nearly 20,000 followers. “Billy's Friend Foundation” — BFF — grew into what's now The BFF Club.

Life happens — you can cancel right from the Client Portal or the app. In the portal: open your Schedule, pick the visit, tap “Make Changes” → “I want to Cancel This Event,” tell us why, then “Confirm Cancellation Request.” On the app: open your Schedule, tap the pencil, choose “Cancel,” jot any notes, and send it our way.
Easy. On the web portal, log in and head to Invoices → Payment Methods, then add a new card or bank account (scroll down to ditch an old one). On the app, just pick a saved method or add a new one when you're paying an invoice.
Everything goes through the Time To Pet app, so your Buddy is always a tap away. Want texts too? We can switch on SMS — they'll still land in the app. And if it's something just for your Lead Buddy's ears, there's a private chat for that.
Your pet's food, leashes, and any gear they need — plus their bed, medications, crate, blankets, toys, and anything else that keeps them comfortable.
